About the North Waikato Home Birth Association

The North Waikato Home Birth Association is a group of women, families and midwives who have come together to provide a support network for the home birth option. We share the belief that birth at home is a real and safe option for well women experiencing a normal pregnancy.

History & Area Covered

The North Waikato Home Birth Association was established in 2004 to provide a home birth support option for the large geographic area north of Hamilton and south of Auckland (including Ngaruwahia, Huntly, Te Kauwhata, Mercer, Pukekohe, Port Waikato, Tuakau, Te Akau, Glen Murray, Tahuna, Maramarua & all surrounding districts)

Membership / Meetings

We have a small but growing membership comprised of home birth women and midwives.   Membership is free.    Please contact us for more information.  Because of the large geographic area we cover at this stage we do not hold meetings however these can be arranged on request.
